I saw them released a year ago and you can buy them but I think it's a furphy about the shape causing the wall to be in compression rather than tension. As soon as you put 40 psi in a tube it shapes itself to the inner surface of the tyre and rim regardless of the original shape.
They are apparently thicker than normal tubes and come with sealant inside them so that would help but I'm calling 'bullshit' on the magic shape.
I was involved with some of the development of michelin products and this product was shown to me after testing it and it really did work. As long as you select the correct size tube for your tyre, the small "lumps" on the tube are never under any tension so you have the effective comparison of trying to push a thorn into a flat tube compared to one that is inflated. So no force pushing back against the thorn means that the rubber deflects instead of the thorn piercing. There is always the risk that you get one of the areas inbetween the little lumps and you add a lot of weight for not much reward - this is not aimed at racers though, it is for your commuter or weekend worrior who doesn't have UST compatible stuff... it works but not for anyone that is worried about weight.
