Have you forgotten that George is the king of lycra?
There used to be a show on telly called George and Mildred - that a coincidence.
George I like the idea of your very slow ride, but 12 kph still seems a bit pacy.
I could be a starter, if I can find someone to take my place at Bridge.
I'm not starting training till after christmas 12kph seems a little fast
I reckon you could muster 12 k/h, remember half of it is slightly down hill.
Why don't you enter the 50 Dirt works with me next year. We can start training together to make sure by then we can do 12.5k/hr over that distance
Stuart,
You can't fool me "half of it is slightly down hill" yes but the other half is slightly UP hill.
I was talking to my posse just last week about entering one of these 50k events, there are 4 of us and if you join that will be 5 - so that's only 10k each. That's just about 2 laps of the lake bike track which is doable.
rest on the benches by the running track
Stuart, this is not your lah-de-da Wednesday "ride and giggle", there is no being a slackard and resting mid training ride. We ride until the path stops and then do the return trip, unless Byran is doing shuttle runs.
always wanted to do one of them, count me in.
Now I think we should leave this thread for George and Mildred. I'll set up an initial training ride for next week sometime. Stay tuned Beany, am keen to meet you and your possey
weren't you at your work chrismas party last night anyway...?!!!
