3 3rd out of 4 in E grade. This was my first race. Poored down with lots of thunder and lightning in the last 1hr of the race. Suffered sore hands for the first half of the race which slowed me down a lot.

that Dungog Common is now my no1 trails to ride(sorry Glenrock but too worn out & unloved!).

I planning to head up to Dungog for the club 3 hr this weekend.
Can you give us a rundown f the trail - length, techy, singletrack, fireroad, hilly, flat etc
D
not sure on course to be used but 95% singletrack-very techy with heaps of rocks(big n small)-plenty of tight switchback turns-some short nasty climbs on a hardpack soil(unless it has rained!)
I like to call it 'Real Mountain Biking'. It has lots of natural features. Trees, roots, rocks, more rocks. But the trail still flows. Great fun. I didn't find it too techy, but definitely not smooth & easy.
Just DON'T cut the corner through long grass. You will find a hidden boulder! I really hope I can get up there this weekend.
