Hi, new to MTB and after what tire pressure is recommended on these tyres? side wall markings are very vague...
Main use fire trails bike is a H/T if it makes a difference.
Thanks in advanced.

I run my Ralph's at 26 tubeless. When I ran tubes I had them at 38, but got a few pinch flats....that's why I went to tubeless and haven't had a flat since and they respond a lot better with the lower psi.Smiling

Yea depends on what version you have. Tubless, DD, Snakeskin or Standard sidewall. Runing Tubes or a tubless ready versions. your weight makes a difference as well.

I run my RR on 28 psi on the rear. its a snakeskin & I run it tubless. I'm 85kg on a 26" dually. Mine is also a 2.25's

I run 2.25 Performance series, setup tubeless and for XC racing. Front 28psi, rear 32-34psi. I weigh 75kg. I find that works best on most surfaces for me and my style of riding.

I run Ralph USTs on the rear only & at around 36 for the 2.1 & a bit less for the 2.25.
A lot depends on what you're riding on as the std Schwalbe's have a pretty weak sidewall & if you go down too low & you'll pinch flat.
My advice would be start around 38 & see how it feels. If it's too hard the back end will feel skittish.
I don't even bother measuring anymore unless in a hurry, I generally use a pump with a buggered gauge then let a bit out if too er... bouncy/skittish?

I ran my RR 2.25 snakeskin at 30psi on the rear of my dually with tubes for about 1300kms of mostly hard riding on rocky single track (Kalamunda circuit) and never had a pinch flat. I weigh about 76kg.

I ran mine tubeless, 25psi on the front with a 2.25 Nobby Nic, 28-32 on the back with a 2.1 RR. I'm 80kg, 85 loaded with camelbak and riding gear. 130mm travel dually. Both tyres UST. Sidewallls lasted pretty much as long as the tread.

Currently trialling Rubena Scylla rear and Kratos front, both tubeless ready. The sidewalls say 2.25 wide but they are skinny for their stated size, more like 2.1s. Wear so far has been excellent, but I think that's because the rubber is hard.

Consequently, I'm not particularly enamoured with the grip levels from the front. They do roll well, though.
