What size are you?

Check the classifieds. I have a Giant Trance X Advanced XL there for well under your budget. Better spec than both you're looking at but is 2012 model. Done less than 200kms

ah, what a bugger needing a large is as i am also trying to move on a Remedy 9, though its an upgraded 09.....

I love it to death and have enjoyed it emensely. I sold my Trance X years ago and bought it and havent regretted it one bit. It pedals pretty well but it has some pretty decent components on it which would probably withstand some decent downhilling and comes in at about 14.5 kilos from memory so the weight is one a smallish problem. I mainly rode Manly Dam with it and didnt really have many issues. Most enjoyable when the trail points downhill obviously and is more bike than i ever needed. I am sure someone with some bigger balls would be able to do a lot more than i ever had with it lol
