Ok, so the guy I "sold" it to apparently has a very special bike. It's such a special bike that it won't accept any derailleurs with standard mounting brackets, so special in fact when he needs to replace it he has to go and buy a special bike specific one from that special bike company, got you by the short curlys there mate haven't they Eye-wink

This means that my mistake coupled with his special luck is now your good luck, and I've even dropped the price.

As the subject line says I have a brand new 08 Shimano XTR front derailluer FD M970 up for sale, still in its box. This is a bottom mount, top swing derailleur that comes complete with brackets to suit the three standard post sizes. For more details have a look here http://www.shimano.com.au/catalog/cycle/products...

As with the last time this went up for sale pm or call me if you are interested, and no, the price won't go any lower (I dropped it to match the cheapest net price I could find, this is now cheaper than I paid) If there are no takers it will find itself on the Kona so be quick.

Cheers

Stuart

yourself and stop getting other people to find you the gear you want? Well knock me down with a feather.

All gibes aside, I think it'll be pretty easy for you to get the right replacement part as your bike is so special you can only buy that part from one supplier (hey it sounds like you were the guy I sold it too that had to return it 'cause it didn't fit)

Only one supplier, ouch, that means no competition, which usually means "special" prices. Ohhh thats going to feel like having your short and curlies plucked, something I've been told you are familiar with
