Thx guys for the ride, had a blast - 4 laps and I was done! Plenty of opportunity for me to improve as well so will be heading back in the new year or sure.

Rob.

Thanks for organising Rob. My only criticism of the track is its too short!!! Can't wait for the rest of it to be built. Did you do the roll over on your lat lap? Pucker factor for the first time I am sure.

Thanks for the ride guys it was a great morning. I was excited I nailed that blasted downhill log that kept giving me grief the other day but on one lap I did have quite a wobble...

@steve01 and I played around trying different lines after you guys left and found some smoother & faster ones that aren't obvious unless you look. I was feeling like I was pretty quick from the pump track to the bottom until Steve & I watched some young blokes pump away then snap around that left handed sweeper so quick i realised I'm in 'C' grade.

Met one of the track builders out there and he said the trail will be 6km when completed with a chance of another 1km also. He mentioned a black run being built near the bottom of the trail near the green runs and said it will be the most difficult of the lot with step ups & downs. Can't wait, it's not like his other work is a walk in the park!

We got there a bit later after a late night last night. My quads, glutes and core muscles were still feeling pretty flogged after yesterday's spin class - for the first half of the blue lap they were actually shaking from the effort of stabilising the bike - bizarre! Thought I was going to have to pull the pin lest I have a stack.

Settled down a bit after that, although the last off-camber section at the end of the first wood bridge on the blue descent still messes with my head. Funny how you get a bug about a particular bit that others (including an early teens kid) have no trouble with. Will take a few more laps before I can get around without dabbing, but it was a lot of fun. My young bloke loves the pump rollers.

The Bottle-O section that takes you back up to the top is awesome fun, too. Makes you work! What a nasty place to put a switchback, between those two saplings Evil

This track is going to lift riding skills standards for sure. Will bring some pads before I attempt the black sections.

Sounds like a good ride. I look forward to trying it soon. How long is it now and how much is there left to build??
