Will do my best to get there, work permitting. Bike is packed, if only the rest of my jobs go well ill see you there.
Andrew
This ride is for the 30th, not tonight or maybe you're preparing early
Does full moon mean no lights? Definitely interested if we're riding blind.
My bad. Oops!
The Tavern has a new Mexican menu....pulled pork tacos anybody?
I swear I'm going to make that ride one day. Unfortunately its just a tad early for me But I'm sertiously threatening
Mexican?! sounds good!
Excellent combo for that post-ride protein refueling....
hope you guys don't mind if I bring a friend along, who isn't on the site
the more the merrier.
Do you need lights for this ride? 7pm should still be quite light depending on how long the ride is
Know there will be no moon? It's full tomorrow, being Sunday which makes next week very dark at night...
Hans
Your record as the rainmaker is remarkable!
No tacos for me,
Well... looks like no Mexican for me either, think ill sit and listen to Gene Kelly
That is the Raven of course...
Old school cool, and bullet proof.
It has a lefty. And a righty...
Now where did I put my snorkel?
The Full Moon Night Ride is now happening on the Wednesday the 6th Feb.
Moon has been notified.
See you there
Are we meeting at Roundabout near Japanese School, Terrey Hills or TH shops?

Let me know if u r also brave (silly) and I'll wait for you.
0404466780 if u want to ring me.
Cheers
Heath
What trails do you guys plan on riding? And an estimate of how long it will take?
Hi Jamey;
- we are riding Perimeter and Long Trail, 10km round trip, all on fire trail, mostly level.
Duration is approx 70 minutes at social pace - we make sure you can keep on the Unicycle....
That sounds perfect and like a lot of fun. If the weather is ok I might try and meet you guys if that's cool. I think I can keep up with my geared uni and ayup lights. But if I can't I don't mind if you guys go ahead and then I'll just turn around when you guys come back around.
But am a total newbie. Put me as a tentative?
P.
Just make sure you bring a decent light.
Starting later from Nerang i'll be the Giant idiot wearing the Giant top riding the Giant 29er
Just wanted to thank everyone for welcoming a one wheeler into the group. I had a great time and hope to do another social ride with you in the near future. As bikes are usually much faster and there aren't too many unicyclists to ride with it was nice riding with a group.
Also, if any of you thought that it looked like more fun on one, it's really not that hard to learn. Google Northern Beaches Unicycle Club. We meet every Monday nights from 6-9pm in Curl Curl. We teach people how to ride and have spare unicycles. Just show up! For the last hour we play unicycle hockey which is a blast. Anyone is welcome to join us! Cheers.
Hi Jamie and other new 'mobber's
It was great to have you there - hope you can come for the next time!
You guys set a cracking pace!
Info, photos (a bit blurry due to low light) and next ride link = http://nobmob.com/node/40514
Thanks for the ride all!
And GiantNut, thanks for posting that pic, and not showing my 'foot down' at the top of the pinch! Nobody will ever know I didn't QUITE make it!
good on ya Hans
count me in again for next one
what a cracking ride it was and a cracking pace as Hans said
and thanks also for posting the pic!
cheers
What is everyones method for keeping their bike safe whilst eating?
I have a Thule lockable roof rack, but I'd still never leave it alone for longer than 20 seconds. YouTube will surprise you.
Hi Chris
So far so good. As far as I know there have not been any bikes taken from cars. They usually get locked with the rack (or additional cable locks), or placed inside the car, or even parked inside the beer garden/outside eating area. They are usually also within clear sight of our table. Potentially it's our posse of a dozen dirty, noisy (angry) looking MTB'ers that acts as a deterrent.
Also make sure to include your bike as portable item in your home and content insurance - that way they are covered.
I'm definitely keen to join you guys in the future. The catch is that I often finish work at Wahroonga at 7pm. Sometimes I get off work early. I'm always keen for a night ride. Twice the fun in the dark!
All of my favorite rides have been at night.
