Jesmond bushland - map and trails and photos
Hey guys, new here and new to mountain biking but just a heads up I ride through the Jesmond bushland a couple of times a week and noticed there were no maps or photos of the area so am putting together some photos and trail details for all. Work in progress, more photos and tracks to go yet but I have been learning it myself over the last few weeks as I find new ways through it on a commute from Lambton pool back to my place.

Probably wont be doing the harder downhill trails as I am not that good but quite a bit of single track and a few more fire trails to go yet.
I might do one for Warners Bay as well (near the golf club) as that is actually quite close to where I live if there is any interest.
I figure that while Glenrock is awesome and well known there is plenty of other trails around Newy that others may use if they were better mapped etc. I had absolutely no idea how much there was at Jesmond till I decided to explore a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for posting the trails. Just keep adding to it as you find new ones.
Hillsborough last time I looked was in the LMCC cycle strategy as an informal mtb area. Never was sure what that actually meant. Even though those trails are only a few minutes ride from home, I never ride there.
Will do, there is plenty of single track that I have done parts of when I have found them crossing a fire trail but want to find the start of them and do as a single entry as opposed to starting it where it crosses a fire trail. I think I have found a few of them and there is another exit into Elemore Vale that I need to get a gps trace of as well so will continue to update over coming weeks.
I have done a bit of the area at Warners Bay but don't have any photos. Might start uploading some of the tracks as a first start and then add photos in coming weeks. There is an interesting mix of trails there.
Got back there this morning and mapped a few more single track and took a couple more photos of the trails. All have been uploaded as tracks and to the gallery now. Still quite a bit more to do there yet, will keep ticking away at it as I get the time.
