FULL MOON NIGHT RIDE
The Route: Terrey Hills, Perimeter + Long Trail(18.5km round trip)
This social ride starts at 7:00pm at the Japanese School Roundabout (end of Echunga road), to avoid the muddy bits. This will also give enough time to get back and share some 'tales and ales' and schnitzels at the Tavern.
Social Pace - newbies welcome too - the more the merrier.
However - beware of surprises ...pedal faster when you hear the ♫♫ duelling banjos ♫♫ ...in the dark woods out there ....

See you at the Full Moon Night Ride...
Hi guys
After a long period of study finally a break yay!!! see you soon
Do you need the full on - "lights a blazing" for this ride? What do you recommend as a minimum?
Ayups or 900-lumen MagicShine lights would be a minimum. Helmet + bars with separate power packs is preferred. Suddenly losing your only light to a component failure is unlikely to end well
The bottom line is you need lights you can see by without outrunning at pace, without the aid of street lights. AA battery powered "look at me" commuting lights are nowhere near enough. Where we're going there ain't no auxilliary light sources.
Post up what you've currently got or are thinking of getting, and we'll advise our views if that helps.
Thinking about joining you guys but I have never ridden at night although have just bought some lights. I have lupine wilma 6 1500 for bars and ferei b5 680 for helmet, would this be sufficient?
They'll be fine.
Weather is looking good...
Now you've done it!
Hi Guy's
Hope it ain't too late to join the fun.
New to Northern Beach's. First night ride for a couple of years but keen to join in .
Cheers Dan
The more the merrier!
Unfortunately can't make sorry late notice.
Are there regular night rides?
Dan
I'm blaming the hardtail - it just makes you want to attack ... and not thinking. Apologies to whoever it was that I frightened off at the back and went home. It wasn't very "social" of me
The rib's OK. Got a nice circular white imprint of the ODI bar plug but a bit of icing and I'll be good to ride to work in the morning. Hope you made it in time for schnitzels!
It was an enjoyable ride - thanks Hans and everyone else for a good time.
Hawkeye, hope that you get sponsorship money out of ODI for the free promotion.
