Awaba or Glenrock for Easter ?

Hi All,

Just wanted some input or suggestions for the upcoming Easter holiday.

I will probably head up that way this Saturday for a day trip with the wife and kid and will probably have a couple of hours at most for a quick ride,
which of those 2 trails should I go to. They both have excellent reputation for being a great MTB trail network.

Are signs posted up on those 2 areas ?

Cheers,
Mario

Awaba for best 45min track , super easy to follow. Wife and kid will have to amuse themselves

Grock in town, so lots for wife to do while you amuse yourself

... leave the wife and kids at treetops and head up the hill for a few laps while they enjoy themselves. Or at least the kids probably will....

Trail head is only a couple of hundred metres up the road and the track was pretty easy to follow when I was last there.

I really enjoy all three tracks, Ourimba, Awaba and G-rock.

Out of Ourimbah and Awaba I'd probably prefer Ourimbah - it's a bit more techy, although in saying that I'm yet to ride the dropoff. Awaba is a bit more flowy, with bridges and switchback climbs, and swoopy descents preceded by that wonderfully evil Camelbak climb to test your climbing legs. Evil

Glenrock has some really fun Blue rated trails that demand your full attention. Would probably be best to organise a guide if you're looking to do a continuous loop without having to stop and check position constantly.

Just remember that there is a race at AWABA on Monday so I wouldnt plan to ride it that day.

Most probably heading up on Saturday.
