Terrey Hills social ride
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
I'm showing some friends there are less intimidating options than Manly Dam available to suit new riders.
This is 8:30 am for an 8:45 start to allow for some pre ride checks and a little knowledge transfer.
First time riders: Please ensure you bring enough water and food to keep you going for two hours, along with spare tube, pump mini tool and puncture repair kit. See your local bike shop for help if you need to acquire these items. Ask here if you'd like advice or info.
Distance is 22km round trip with moderate amounts of elevstion change... nothing killer but you'll know you've been for a ride if this is your first time.
Click the link brlow to show you're in. See you there!

Re: the vague comment about "enough water" ... that means 2 litres. Gatorade will help with carbs
John, are you riding in from the start of Nerang or going the road to the Jap school? I think that first section might still be very wet but the rest of the trail was great yesterday.
Took your advice and started from the Japanese Scchool, and came back via Nerang.
The section to Nerang wasn't too bad except for the last 500m (read: first 500m if you start from Nerang), aftetr which my rear brake sounded like a cement mixer full of gravel!
Rest of the track was pretty good.
Thanks for the ride, that was fun. We probably could have done with a few less "briefings" about the upcoming sections and just ridden them.
Thanks to Danielvn for showing me that bit of hidden singletrack on the way back from the BMX track.

Thanks Hawkeye,
Great ride looking forward for the next one, also I liked the new sections!!
I was wondering if it is possible one ride through manly Dam soon?
Fork on the dually is off for service to get the boot replaced, but once I get it back happy to do something.
Hoping the weather is kind so I can take the hardtail for a spin around Old Man's Valley on Sunday
