Well Sydney's soaked, but are there any trails close to Sydney that are dry enough to ride tomorrow morning? Does anyone know if The Oaks is OK to ride? Might have to resort to a road ride, but I'm trying to avoid it...

I'm doing an Akuna Bay West Head ride on the hardtail tomorrow starting 7am at Allambie Heights shops.

I'll be on the road bike, assuming it's actually stopped raining and Sydney hasn't washed away.

That's a big ride on a Hardtail, Hawkeye... I'm a fan of Akuna, West Head etc on my my Epic would be super keen to join you tomorrow but I've got a trench to dig instead Sad

65-ish round trip. Distance isn't so bad, it's the rolling hills that hurt. 'Tis tougher on a dually.

The Oaks should be good to ride, just stay away from the single track

Ill be hitting it at 730am tomorrow!

They're challenging enough on the way out

I can confirm those rolling hills hurt a lot worse on the return leg when you stop for 45 minutes at West Head lookout at let your legs cool down.

Duh! Evil

At least I don't have to spend an age cleaning crud and sand out of my bike Smiling

Manly Dam is Closed today so write that option off. Cascades will be messy but fun for those into intensive bike maintenence. Sticking out tongue
Just rode down Bantry bay track and it was soggy.

I've been to Yarramundi earlier and the track there is perfect.
