Details:
TBC on the day. My suggestion would be the Glenbrook coat hanger. That's Bennetts, up to the gate at the Oaks and then down the single track. This way we get the bonus of the causeway. We could through in Portal lookout too.
Tim and I will be hanging around for a post ride BBQ in Glenbrook Park.
All welcome!!
Who's in?
Chuck, ChopStiR, hathill, Kooleen, Dutchy74, miggle (6 riders)

Byo meat and drinks? I may be able to supply for a do ation.
3.30 PM on Anzac day might be hard to do. Could have had more than one beer by then. Might do a morning ride instead.
May not be able to make the ride, but might pop round with a few beers later on
If we a riding Nat. Parks, should I bring the CX? hmmm
I don't have any work commitments on Thursday, so I'll be good to go for a ride. Will be the first ride of the new forks too, so hopefully they don't fall off...
Fall off? You're to smooth a rider for that Dutchy.
No Tim, bring the Trance for the single track.
Hahahahaha - what's that I hear, the sound of tumbleweeds? Crickets?
The sniggle was riding particularly nicely on Monday.
hey!.. I have been looking on this website a lot lately, looking for a ride that i can do easily.. I only picked up mtbing about 2 months ago and have only been riding around the knapsack area with some mates (im only 14). Do you know any rides i can tag along to, but go my own pace?
I choose not to get sucked in to a flaming war with the oh mighty Chuck...I'd lose badly.
Although I'll let me superior climbing skills and single track expertise do the talking...
Graydo, Knapsack and Glenbrook Nat Park are a good start for relatively easy MTB rides. I'm not too sure what the pace will be like today but it's generally not that quick on these sorts of ride days. The single track will generally be at a faster pace just to have a blast, but there's also the service track right next to it that can be taken if you want.
Most of the time the group will only go as fast as the slowest rider, so this could be a good time to get in to MTBing and gain some extra fitness / skills too. If you have friends / parents who want to get in to riding too, bring them along.
Cheers
Paul.
Is anyone bothering with lights just in case Chuck holds us up?
thanks for the advice! I mainly ride XC because i don't have a "over the moon" bike (Giant Bolder 29er). Like i said, i have only ridden at knapsack but have ridden the old downhill track (and looking forward to try the new one out!), the old walking track, some single tracks which end up at Elizabeth's lookout. I enjoy them actually whether my bike is made for downhill or not! I have wanted to do the classic woodford to glenbrook (oaks).. But riding it for the first time in an experienced group, the best option?
I'm bringing a bar light just in case.
