Come Rain or Shine:
I'll be there, no matter what the weather.
Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam Details:
As long as it's not torrential rain overnight I am going to go to the dam tomorrow - about 12.30 because I have stuff on i the morning and it seems decadent to ride in the middle of the day!! (especially while it's cooler)
I am going to ride down... well, that's the current plan anyway!

i am the eternal optimist and the weather forecast is for clouds tomorrow...
hell christine, hopefully you dont get em over your way but its bucketing down at mine!!would be nice to ride tomorrow though...
Swim to or swim in the dam ??
hasn't rained THAT much? I may ride down to and then swim in then...
ha!
The glare could be blinding !!!
Christine, you know where I work... (not too far from the dam for the other readers) it's been raining on & off all day today with a few heavy downpours... and a bit yesterday...
I know we said to destroy your current drivetrain, but riding the dam in these conditions is murder!
Hey christine!
My bike's waterproof. Never been at the dam though, but so keen on going.
..it rains almost everyday in Denmark, not that we enjoy it though...
Cheers
Was going to do it earlier this morning but as I haven't got out of bed early enough I'll come along at 12:30. Hopefully it'll be open............ See you there!
To wet, and with the size of my carbon footprint I don't want to hurt the dam any further
Greg
just spoke to christine shes keen im in
Enjoy!
to wet will trash the trail im guessing aim for somewere else tomorrow
just putting the feelers out for tomorrow. what about somewhwere on west head( pretty rocky trails but still wet) or maybe a loop from terrey hills around duck holes and centre track? what do you reckon?
what happened? I was there waiting for you until 12:50! But I hooked up with some other guys.
Maybe I'll take a mobile number next time! Great ride, very wet although 2 flats and 3 tubes later..........
i dont' have the computer at home and the others all said it was tooooo wet!!!
hey! Mat (trail biker mat) says whats happend to you?!
MEE
2 flats on the ROAD back to Manly!!!!
That broken shiny stuff on the road-its called GLASS! dont road OVER it,ride around it,yes?
Mat - as in the guy you went TRAIL BIKE RIDING WITH - remember that?!! (not that any nobmobbers are pro trail biking now...)
HE asked where you have been .. as i you havent' been trail bike riding with them outside of Sydney!!!
you really have confused me!
I have only met 2 Matts so far: one guy who I've not really spoken to and another new one on a Kona bike who was new at the social Dam ride last time. So I guess the only rides I've done with them would be the Dam and Red Hill just before Christmas after which I enjoyed your hospitality and Gazza's awesome bacon sarnies!
Or it could be that I don't know what I'm talking about and also don't know who I know or don't know?!!! Confused? You will be!
Afraid I can't do Menai Sunday as I'm off camping a bit further south.
But nest ride for defo!
blondie has struck again in senastional form!!!
Is it open? Does anyone know the current state of the track? has anyone rode it since the last lot of rain.
I want to ride it on Sat and am hoping that its dry!
Andrew
Plan on doing 2 laps after work, if the track is open and dry enough... I'll let you know tomorrow...
***Post Ride Update - 24/1***
The Dam is good... 1 main puddle just below here and then all's good until just after this section where is was a little muddy and wet, but careful riding should get you through (without damaging trail and bike).
