Pic of my new Trek Remedy 9. Changes include swapping to XT 2x10 cranks, XT trail spd pedals, Blackspire twinity chain guide and new grips.

Went to Awaba today for the first time and tested the remedy's all mountain abilities by doing a few laps of the xc course then rode up mount faulk rd to the down hill course. Coming down was fantastic and scary as all hell, the course was definitely bigger than the bike, but I ended up walking only two sections which I was happy with. Overall stoked with the bike and cannot wait to get it down to Ourimbah's all mountain course.

I bought a used EX9 a couple of weeks ago as a fun trail bike & am blown away with the way it handles, I'm instantly faster & more confident on the more gnarly stuff.
It's so much fun that I want more & am now seriously thinking of selling my lightweight XC racer & buying a Remedy 9.8.

Sorry, pressed save twice, where's the delete button?

I think that the DRCV shock was a pretty good attempt at an "almost a coil" device although the CCDBA takes it much closer.

For anyone thinking about a Remedy, they are moving to 29" next year so be quick if you want an old fashioned version!

But of course there will be an article contradicting me....

When I was picking up my Remedy 9 the dealers were saying that the 29er version was not coming to Australia, so who knows if the 27.5 will be.
