I've not ridden Majura Pines post rain however I have ridden Sparrow Hill a lot>This includes during rain and post rain.
Think back to to the public holiday we got due to Apec back in September. On that day I arrived in the Sparrow Hill car park at about 10am after driving from Sydney in constant rain.Naturally it was pretty wet there yet I walked up the entrance trail to find as expected somewhat of a quagmire.I returned to my car.
So I went to Stromlo.Still raining, the trails at Stromlo were good and I rode a loop rather happily and returned to my car soaked and muddy but nonetheless pretty cheerful. Those trails drain well and are built tough.
The very next day,in the very late afternoon after a day of good sunshine,I went to Sparrow Hill.
The trail showed little evidence of previous days deluge.Due to the hardpack nature of the trail the water seems to just slie off and leave behind a trail that is..er..hardpack.A few turns did have water sitting there but ultimately the trail was in great condition.
Any time I've ridden in the rain it has only been light and the tree cover certainly provides protection.
I don't endorse riding in in the rain as it does chop the place up which then when dry ends up with horrible ruts. However some trails cope very well.
Anyone out there ridden in the UK.That is a place that features some genius in made made trails.Yet that is a whole other story...

i rode both majura and stromlo in sprinkles and heavy rain (at times) myself, and majura is fantastic in the wet, such hard packed soil just gets firmer in the wet and the pine tree thing seems to help alot too, and provide a bit of a rain roof while riding too in parts, and due to the hard pack thing, you dont leave any more of a trace pretty much, certainly dont cause trail damage, highly reccomend best wet trail ive ever ridden..but u know is still better dry!
stromlo i did the dh track in wet, and was very loose dry soil, that also packed down nicely in the damp, heavy rain though not so good, but as light spray made the ground much better and less slidey and loose..
anyway heaps better than our near unrideable clay/mud/bog trails in sydney way in the wet...
