Bombed at the Dam
I was the target today of a black and white bomber on the Nursing Home trail at Manly Dam. I don't recall this magpie last year, is he taking off from a new base this year. It was at the intersection of Nursing Home trail and the top of Eva's track, had two good shots at me! At least he isn't like the Butcher Bird and strikes at the nose. Any sign of him yet? There wasn't today.

He was quite active last year. Really takes his job seriously
He must have taken offence to my new bike. I was never troubled by him in previous years, riding that section a fair bit.
From the entrance, all the way round the corner... followed me for a good 200m.
He wasn't attacking yesterday, just swooping and sounded like he stayed a good 1/2 meter away from me.
Wildlife is part of why I ride.... so happy to experience nature so long as it doesn't draw blood like the Gibbs Street Butcher...
Not at the dam but i nearly hit a wallaby at RNP. thank god for the good brakes
Not looking forward to the butcher I hope it's not going to be around this season
He's been there for several years now. Often follows me up the Eva's track climb. But he never strikes, just hovers around your head. I think you can safely ignore him (or her).
BTW - the Gibbs St Butcher is around. Had a flutter at me late last week but back away when I waved my arm over my head.
