Note that this is "Withdrawn" so is here for archive purposes only.

Just two weeks after posting my bike here I managed to break my leg.

While I was recovering I put the bike in for a service, re-grease and etc., plus a new back rotor and brake pads (which it needed) and then put it away in my shed.

Seven months later and sadly it doesn't look like I am ever going to be riding like I used to. It occurred to me that my expensive bike is depreciating and maybe I should just sell it and then whenever/if ever I get back into MTB buy something new.

So, at this point I am open to offers. As I see it can go two ways:

  • I can sell the bike as is, kashima TALAS forks, dropper seat post, carbon brake levers (saved 5 grams) and even the Garmin Edge GPS with Rohloff hub plus a spare SRAM X0/XX transmission setup as a DTswiss rear wheel, XX cassette, X0 front rings, X0 cranks and BB, X0 front and rear derailleurs, X0 shift levers and ODI grips - that is the whole package which represents about $10k initial investment by me.
  • Or, because I recognise hub transmissions aren't for everybody, I can take the Rohloff wheel off and sell the Santa Cruz as a 2x10 normal bike, just like any other Santa Cruz Blur LTc set up for "all mountain" mode upgraded with kashima TALAS forks and dropper seat post.
  • I would then separately sell the Rohloff hub built into a DTswiss wheel, plus shifter, grips, brake rotor and chain tensioner. That represents about an $1800 initial investment but should be worth more since the hub is now run in and I have saved somebody a year of riding.

The bike frame is size "Large" which with a 50mm Renthal stem fits me nicely at 179cm tall.

It goes really really well Smiling
