Just found that post in one of my *bored at work* blogs:

Most epic rides unfold like chapters in a book, and with terrain this diverse the story writes itself. Curt Gowdy State Park is located where the Great Plains meets the Rocky Mountains. This cross section of terrain creates an extremely diverse trail with over 30 miles for your riding pleasure — imagine twisting covered single track, wide open high plains roads, and steep canyons where eroded granite towers over you. If you happen to be around Cheyenne in the month of July, make sure to visit the Frontier Days to experience some true western culture

There are some nice photos, and details which can help you are planning to go for a ride in the US.
