Deliberately lit fires LCNP

While riding back through LCNP today, complaining silently to myself how unfit I am. I started to smell smoke. Couldn't see any thing down in the valley. As I got to the top of the climb, rounded a corner there were the Fire Brigade, and Police. So I stopped to ask what was going on, they pointed to a fire on the other side of the river. Told me they had already put out 3 deliberately lit fires to morning. Asked me if I had seen anyone, and what was the best way to get down there. They also said they are down here every couple of weeks putting out fires.

So JP, Lach and others who ride here regularly please keep an eye and report any suspicious activity to Eastwood police.

You got to ask yourself why?

I'd love to catch one of these guys in the act...

Didn't smell smoke this morning but spinning up the concrete climb up to wallalong cres this morning I noticed the tress on both sides burnt out. From fires a week ago or proactive backburning?

... I think they said it was deliberately lit.

I rode through yesterday and there is quite a bit of burnt out bush around West Pymble from the fire last week. Will definitely keep an eye out.
