For Sale: Hope Tech EVO X2 Hydraulic brakes (braided lines) *NEW
I have front and rear Hope Tech EVO X2 Hydraulic brakes (with braided lines) *NEW up for sale.
I bought them a week ago and found out (stupid me) that the rear cable on my bike is 1750mm and these are not long enough, unfortunately i can't return them because i did a test install and have left a mark on the bolt hole of the front brake, so they wont swap them so my loss is your gain.
the brakes are brand new - took them out of the box and literally test fitted them to the bike, they look great but as indicated the rear is too short.
i am willing to part with them for $160 each or $300 if you take both - thats $50 off the sale price i got.
PM me if interested - pick up Manly area.

You should be able to replace the hose with a longer one and re-bleed the brakes. They look like standard braided hoses that you can source locally but I'd check with Hope first, they may even just send out a longer section in the name of good customer service.
Here's there vid on shortening a hose, just play it backwards.

I have a brake bleed kit and work stand and am happy to help. Just add hose, bard and olive, and recommended fluid and Bob's yer uncle
Mate has hope on his bike and they look a lot easier than any other systems but you be better off ordering a new rear line
*barb. Bloody auto correct!
Was wondering what Shakespeare had to do with brakes.....
its going to cost me $60 + labour to do the lines again and to be honest i couldn't be bothered, i'd rather just pick up the M4's i have on order.
If I had the money I'd take them off your hands it is a breeze to do just order a new brake line too easy
