Thinking of buying a set for this years races for my 29er any comments would be great before I take the plunge

They are light but.....the spokes are notoriously hard to get replacements for if you break them, and the freehub bodies tend to need more love (but not a ridiculous amount) than others.
Its always an unusual choice of wheel, but they look the goods and by all accounts feel fantastic.

Take the plunge before everyone on here gives sensible advice like "buy some Crests and save the spare money"

They are proper UST too - no mucking around with tape.

I beat the crap out of the 26" versions for 18 months without a single issue. I was doing things on them you shouldn't really do on XC wheels. They are now on a mates bike who has been riding them for the last 3.5 years also without a single issue. Just need to service the free hub once in a while but thats a piece of cake

What are you doing as a service to the freehub

Just simply removing the free hub body and cleaning out the dirty oil (if dirty) and replacing it with some fresh mavic free hub oil. Takes about 5 minutes
