Squeaky Seat Post

Hi,
Thompson Elite in a Ti frame.
Things Ive tried, Grease and Grease with grit in it.
It stays good for an hour or two then gets its squeak on.
Any ideas?

What seat are you running. I spent months chasing a squeak that would develop after half hour or so of riding. In the end it was the seat rails squeaking on the carbon body of the seat itself. Sellitalia flight. I've got the same saddle on both my bikes and only had problems with one which broke soon afterward. The replacement hasn't caused any noises either.
I also have a Ti frame thats got a aluminum sleeve in the seat tube and my seat post squeaks (its more of a tick) non stop and I cant get it to stop no matter what I do and I have heard that its the sleeve thats at fault and there is nothing I can do, but then again any of the Ti bikes that I have had the pleasure of riding (road and MTB) ticked, squeaked and groaned at some point on the ride. I think its just something that they all do?
i just replaced a saddle that was squeaking, as i was in a rush i did at my LBS TBE ossy Park, i asked what lube to put on the rails and was given some carbon paste to put on them, no squeaking at all
I had a squeak and it turned out to be one of my pedals that was not really tight so check them as well.
Thanks Guys for the input, I would never have thought about the seat rails.
Next chance I get to work on the bike I will give them a try too.
I will report back in the next few days.
