Details:

We have teed up a maintenance day with National Parks. It may be assisting with the current development or it may be doing some fixing up of the existing trail. This will be determined at a later date by Parks and Contractor.

This will also be a bit of a training day so the preference of those attending are volunteers who are interested in doing more future and regular maintenance days along the Oaks Single-track but all are welcome.

On the Day there will be a chance to have a good look at the development of the final 2km.

Parks will be supplying a lunch.

Please wear appropriate personal protection. I.E. Hat, closed shoes, long sleeved shirt and pants, gloves are also recommended. The recommended tools to bring for the day will be soft and hard rakes, shovels will also come in handy. Do not worry If you do not have your own tools as Parks with have their own tools for you to borrow on the day. Please clean your tools of all excess soils at home beforehand, ideally spray with 70% methylated spirits diluted with water.

There may be an opportunity to ride some of the new top section so your welcome to bring your bikes. The decision will be made by Parks later in the day depending on track condition.

The Current forecast is showing a possible light shower, currently its a go ahead. A decision will be made by parks on saturday morning if there is a need to cancel due to poor weather so please check here before leaving home.

HI, I am new to the Blue mountains area and would love to come and have a dig, I don't have my own transport so Can I get there from the Woodford train station, or does anyone have a spare seat from penrith?

Thanks Guys, hope to see you there.

G'day Tyran,

We are working on the single track which is near the Glenbrook end. You would be in the wrong location if you went to woodford end:)

I live in Penrith so I can give you a ride. Where would you like me to pick you up from, send me the details in a personal message. I have a bike rack that caries 3 bikes so you would be welcome to bring your bike also.

If I get a call tomorrow morning to say its Cancelled I will post here to notify everyone.

Sunday May 25 is the next (and final) dig day

will be bumping it up before then
But we need lots of punters to mark down this date in their diaries
If turn out is poor this time
It precludes anyone from making negative comments about the lack on riding options
Myself included Smiling
