10 The Otway Odyssey is one of those must do events. Like the Highland Fling it attracts the best riders from all over, but being in Victoria some of the best riders south of the boarder also make their way to this event.
This is a great race, and a great addition to the new Maverick series. Awesome trails, wicked location, stacks of accommodation options and fantastic village atmosphere.

Well done mate. Sounds like a great race and hopefully we can hit it up next year.
Nice result backing up after the Cape Epic.
Might just have to add it to the list - but that is a hell of a lot of climbing
Great article Wayne but no matter how hard you try to sell the idea this would be a great race to attend the fact it took you nearly 5 1/2 hrs means it would be an 8hr torture test for most of us!

Except I'm not sure about the last photo. I don't think my missus would be too happy if she caught me showering with my bike!
Regardless of whether you do the Odyssey or not, you would be mad not to have Forrest on your bucket list. The trail network is pretty impressive and has something for all levels.
A Vic road trip incorporating Bright, Buller, Wombat State Forest, and Forrest would be easy to organise with some world class trails on offer.
Now thats got me thinking ....
So what dates are you thinking
