Okay time to go for a nice spin on a Tuesday night (sorry Buck I can't do Wednesdays), no training, no fast riding. Just a cruise up to the end of the long trail and back to the pub!

You better make sure you tell the guys. Wednesday's ride was full on! I think Harry's computer said we averaged something around 19kmh!

I'll try and come along and ride point. That should keep it at a sensible, slow pace

Or has everyone stepped the riding up a gear? Sorry its called training now....

I remember when the terry hills night ride was just one loop of centre and duck holes and we used to stop for a beer in the middle of it. Now it has migrated to the perimeter and long trail for a longer distance, then that ride got faster and faster. I remember when we used to have only one mid week ride, not people doing two laps of cascades in two and a bit hours, now you can almost ride cascades quarry and terry hills in one might. There were no training rides at fast pace or medium pace for that matter... Eye-wink lol

Lorrie,

It was actually a Wednesday night and Perimeter/Long with a beer at the lookout.

i say!!!
they always rode home slower after that!

The beer at the look out was very irresponsible,
we are much better off having three beers at the Terry Hills tavern Eye-wink

I can't do Wednesday so Tuesday's perfect and a cruisey ride would be great.

Hope you guys don't go too fast though, my knee is still buggered up from basketball the other week..

Not a particularly fast rider, so a cruise sounds good to me.

jeez it must be scary doing that trail in the middle of darkness ! do you guys jump off the water bars on Long track at night ? Smiling

It's not really dark when you have seen the lights that everyone has.

Riding at night makes it feel like a totally new trail. It's like you've got tunnel vision and yes, a bit freaky.

No matter how bright the lights, the landing zone in a water bar is often in shadow from close up. You might have had chance to see over the 'bar earlier though on approach, so often you are launching into the shadows but at least know there's not a tree there, even if you can't actually see that on launch. Yes, it's quiet a leap of faith!
