Was at Aldi Hornsby this morning to grab some of their cheap compression pants, tights and tops that are part of this weeks special and noticed several other items that I thought might interest some people. Yes, it is Aldi so no, it isn't the trendiest or the most sophisticated, but..... it usually does what it says on the tin and its cheap enough that it's worth a gamble from time to time.

I've purchased items of their "fitness clothing" in the past and it's good enough that I went back for another lot today. Most expensive item was $20 for a lycra slim fit hoodie. Compression clothing is $17 per item. A few other garments as well to cover your top or bottom half and most are made from quick dry material. These always sell very quickly.

Another item on special was a PVC exercise mat for protecting your floor. Perfect for under the trainer and its about 7mm PVC so might help reduce the vibration a bit as well as I have wooden floors. 2M x 75cm for $18. They had lots at Hornsby in the morning and still had lots in the afternoon.

Something that I assume was part of an older special that didn't sell out was what they were calling motorcross clothing. I'm no moto rider, but it looked a bit fragile for serious crashing with several hundred kilos of bike, but might be perfect for AM riders on a budget. They had knee pads, elbow pads, very sturdy looking full-fingered gloves with plastic knuckle protection and moto jerseys, padded underwear and helmets as well. The knee and elbow pads covered a good amount of flesh in those areas.

If you don't like Aldi then I suggest you don't bother, but if you need some spare gear at a price that won't break the bank then maybe take a look.

Funny you mentioned this, I set a reminder in my phone last week for when this sale would start on Saturday. Planned to get myself some Kettle bells and have a look at their other gear. Was about to head down.
