Back Yamma Bigfoot 2014
Corner of Back Yamma Road and Parkes Eugowra Road, Eugowra NSW 2806. This is around 25km South of Parkes.
Back Yamma Bigfoot is a 25/50/100km mountain bike race that is held in the Back Yamma State Forest Daroobalgie (near Parkes and Forbes) in the Central West of NSW.
The course has been designed to cater all categories of riders from beginners to the elite.
Beginners can get a taste of the action by doing the 25km loop or better know as the "Little Foot", while the intermediate and advance riders can go a little harder and do the more technical single track 50km loop know as the "Big Foot". As for all the elite riders out there we have something special for you called "Two Big Feet". A 100km loop that will push you further and harder than ever!

I'm in for the 100
Bit too far for me to travel but have a good race.
Awesome fun course. I've been wanting to get back out there since riding the inaugural event.
You guys will have a blast.
Just remember to put a nice bitey front tyre on, the bulldust makes for loose corners and running wide is not recommended!
I've heard the loose corners might bring back some bad memories
The weather is looking good for this. I can't wait.
Will be nice to get out to what look like being some reasonably dry tracks. A little bit of rain this week to hopefully firm them up and away we go....
Is this your first race back Brian? If so good luck and hope it goes well.
Yes, this is my first mtb race. I've just converted my bike to grip shift to help with shifting. I love the week leading up to a race.
Your enthusiasm is infectious, Brian!
Good luck with the race. Keep the rubber side down. That circuit is loose!
Make sure you don't run wide off the trail in the harvested areas, there are often low tree stumps hidden in the undergrowth. If you come in too hot, just go straight and be prepared to bunny hop
Quite a few roos around when I was there last, too.
It all adds to the atmosphere.
... the track is only loose if you get off the racing line. Or at least that's the way it seems from mid-field in the 50 after all the 100's and the fast 50's have cleaned it up a bit
Nothing too technical to catch you out with a new grip shift either, so you should be fine.
Here's a 5 min video of 2013's event to help get you excited:

Awesome. Looks great.
Only two sleeps to go before I head out there. I feel like a kid before Xmas
... looking forward to driving out of this rain once we're over the mountains. Doesn't look so good for the Wollombi ride this morning....
