Bike week at Aldi
It's cheap it's cheerful, but mostly its cheap! My pick is the work stand but I would have a closer look at the tool kit if I didn't already have one. The sunglasses are pretty good too, exchangeable lenses https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/wednesda...

bought two jackets two pairs of shorts I think the quality is pretty good I wouldn't want to do a 100 km marathon in them but a short blast they will be fine
The Cree LED light seems reasonable so far. For $40 it claims 3.5hrs at full brightness and 7hrs at the lower brightness setting. Also has a flashing mode. I was prepared for it to be pretty poor, but it's actually quite bright and the light seems well focused to give a strong enough beam to see clearly about 30 metres ahead, but broad enough to have some peripheral vision. I can't find any rating on the box for lumens or any other measure of 'brightness' though.
I bought some gloves and sunnies as I've bought those items before (still have them) so the new ones will be spares. At $9 each they are good enough. I gave the shoes a miss as I already have a nice pair for the roadie and some 5Tens for the MTB and my feet are a bit delicate at the best of times. Need a fair amount of TLC to function properly. The Aldi shoes did look fairly sturdy though.
Im there first thing tonorrow, gonna get the whole kit hell will be well exciting doing stromlo on that premium green dually with 40mm of suspension!!
Go directly to Pork Barrel.
Do not go past Go.
Do not collect $200
But in all seriousness. Most of thier stuff is decent. I bought a Helmet off them. It is soo much better & better lasting than those helmets Big W used to sell for $50
Yea sure Its probably not comparable to the $180 Helmet I use racing....but for the kids goingfalong the bike path down to Manly. They are pretty good.
I havent checked the tool kit. But I have something that looks very similar. It cost me over $100 at a LBS 4- 5 yeras ago....yea I got riped off. A more realistic price would be about $75.
On another note. I have Tourney on my commuter.....its done close to 4000 km this year. hasn't missed a beat. Sure its no XT. But it is what it is.
Got several pair of glasses for my boys, 2 new helmets (they wreck helmets at an amazing pace, I'm going to keep the cardboard boxes for transportation this time). 4 pair of gloves. I even got some shoes for my older boy, they seem like kmart quality uppers but the souls are quite stiff. All up a big Aldi haul!
I did indeed ride pork barrel although a mate told me it was called pig rooter and i got some funny looks asking were that was-what a stitch up!I decided my wildcard was more suitable-the bike box with the green bike in it was forklift material!!
