3 weeks in a row. You'll have your climbing legs come the Fling. Are you doing the Full or Half?
that's what I'm hoping for Brian.
Still undecided on the full or half, I'll decide on the day the entry close
It's pointless doing the half... look at this ride... that's like the half already. For the event you want to go further, eh?
Not sure if I'm doing this right but I'll post this and see what happens. I've just moved over from the uk and currently live in Avalon.
Did a lot of riding over in the uk and haven't really done any here yet (no bloody mates to ride with, suppose that happens when you move country's)
Just wondered what was needed for the ride and if it will be a good ride to get the feel of OZ.
Neil
Hi Neil,
what's needed:
- A bike in working order.
- Some food and enough water for a 3hr ride. (I carry a few muesli bars and 2x750ml bottles)
- climbing legs will help as there's a fair bit of climbing in this 50ish km ride
Springtime ride is great as the native flowers are in bloom, if you can catch a breath you'll be able to see glimpses of the blue mountains.
Got all of those , only problem is the distance to the station from Avalon is 1.5 hr drive, looks like I'll have to give this one a miss but it does sound good. I could do,with getting to know local rides round here like Oxford falls and Manly Dam, they keep, coming up in conversations. I don't really know any other riders round here yet as we have only been in the country a few weeks. Maybe the next local ride I'll be able to make.
