A speedy (?) night lap to work on the fitness levels ready for coming events. Firetrail to the lookout and back (not the road), minimal stops, no pub for me as I have to get back to Hornsby Hts and start work early. This run has been done at 19-20k's an hour which is a good target. Will try to make it a regular 'coz it will be easy to compare progress each week. I don't want to sound like an unsociable git by posting this as I will be joining other social rides, but I can only do 1 ride during the week at the moment and I'd like to make it count!...

Normally I would be keen for this kind of ride (yes, yes, sorry folks but sitting around mid-ride in the cold in wet cycle gear isn't my favourite thing
) but won't be recovered enough for this week.
Don't be put off by that other bunch of alchos Morgan... next week should be sweet if you want to make a regular of it. Or alternate with Cascades 4 gates? Whatever happened to the regular 4 gates ride?
Defo want to get out in the week on a regular basis and mixing up the rides keeps one fresh, what. Never done Cascades so that would be cool too. I'm also trying to cobble together a route in Hornsby (where I live, conveniently enough) which would be do-able at night (er, and for the really sick people can be joined up with the Galstone Gorge Grimace), so yeah, could be some fun Wednesdays ahead...
I know what happened to the Cascade weekly ride, daylight savings ended and I dont have lights
I will be getting some but the way my credit card looks (the reason I have a bike for sale http://nobmob.com/node/4878) I can't say when.

A wet, cold, grubby, lonely bike ride vs a warm, dry home with the promise of a nice something from the misses if I do the washing up.
