I have noticed over the last few years the increase in quality (i.e. production cost) of these films. These seem to resemble the quality you see in a Hollywood movie nowadays (production quality, not script quality). Although I am sure the total budget is still quite small. Having a look at this trailer, it's no different. Some of those shots, particularly the sweeping panoramic ones, are sensational. Some of those shots appears to have been taken from a helicopter. Fantastic!! I especially like the one where the rider is freeriding downhill on a mountain ridge, with the sea in the background. That looks really cool. All these things remind me why I like to ride. It is an awesomely cool sport.
Next year in the USA, baby, next year. Bring it on.
haha yeh i hear you im shooting for whistler 2010 (should be enough time for the baby to go travelling but yeh after seeing a documentary on the making of some of these movies, the production values have skyrocketed, just look on the same trailer site at the trailer for the previous 6 kranked's and see the difference! but bare in mind, whilst the sport is big here and definantly growing, it is absolutely massive in other parts of the world, and i think its starting to show in lots of ways..the last nwd had incredibly high tech camera work also..the light is indeed on and burning brightly for the masses it will here too, once we get some good trails were allowed to ride lol *can of worms opening*
They left your name off the credits! Bastards...
im in there towards the end, just gotta look reallllly hard
LOL... THEM!
Nice to see a high quality trailer. What's that guy half way through doing? Backflip off the edge of a cliff by the looks... insane indeed!
