That is looking pretty awesome. (almost like a Roman highway)
Despite being closed I see NPWS Bantry Bay West is seeing plenty of Strava action?
Anyone know when it will be open?
Official opening of the western side will be announced soon.
Like many who live around the northern beaches and ride Manly Dam and visitors as well, this is fantastic and will be a great addition to the area. Some of you may have seen this, here's a write up by the Flow guys http://flowmountainbike.com/features/australias-...
If anyone knows who is riding Bantry Bay at the moment, particularly the Wakehurst Parkway side please get them to stop.
NPWS are seriously unhappy. Not all structures are in and people are riding on sensitive stuff that explicitly required bridges in environmental assessment.
I've seen people on the western side who have claimed they are being asked to ride to provide feedback. Public Strava rides show 40 people have ridden the western side and many have ridden the eastern side. Its only going to get worse over Christmas with lots of people with free time.
Perhaps opening the west side and the redoubling communication not to ride the east side could help??
What does everyone think?
TrailCare was completed two invited walk throughs of the tracks but definitely not open to public to ride yet.
The western side is imminent, the eastern side is 100% out of bounds.
