Road Rage against cyclists! :o
Did you see the news about the southern cross drive this morning?
http://www.smh.com.au/news/beijing2008/angry-dri...
Its why my run into mascot was somewhat disrupted...
Mate there are some impatient fu%#ers out there! And at 6:30am.... as if there is much traffic then anyway... on a 3 lane highway... plenty of room to pass!
GRRRR..
This is why I'm scared of road riding :\

Yes indeed. It is not much consolation knowing you are about to hit a car when you are doing 50 km/h knowing this will not be your fault. At that moment, all that matters is your own safety. Ladies and gentleman, this is why we stick to mountain bike riding, where it's safe.
I would like to use the drivers neck to clean my chain rings!
Crazy car driver...
I propose a penalty 200 hrs Community service for him with NPWS...
e.g. Trail building at MD....
==========================
Happiness is a warm shock.
the gaol term hopefully.
Thats a bit light on he should be shot at dawn.
The following is from http://www.bicyclensw.org.au/
We are outraged by the events at Mascot yesterday, and we are deeply concerned for the athletes who have been affected by this appalling incident. We strongly support the efforts of law enforcement agencies to pursue and prosecute the offenders to the fullest extent of the law and we passionately believe that the road is there to share. We are upholding this principle in our dealings with Government.
Our first call to action to you is to direct your messages of support for the athletes to us at [email protected] and we will forward them on for you.
Our second call to action for you is to help us show government that the community wants safe places to ride, whether that be on the road or on shared user paths. We urge you to stand with us in our efforts to secure safer roads and other riding infrastructure. There are two current projects where you can immediately help us demonstrate to our politicians your support for our efforts:
1. The Lower Prospect Canal Cycleway – this valuable route has been suddenly closed and demolished. To help us fight for reinstatement of the path go to http://www.canalreserve.org/ and join with us and the Canal Reserve Action Group!
2. The Bourke Street Bicycle Route – the community consultation period has been extended to 16th May. Show your support for this key piece of infrastructure which was promised as part of the cross city tunnel project. http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/Development/C...
- and if you want to have your say in the public arena about the events at Mascot the Daily Telegraph is running a poll at http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/
Ride On!
Kind regards
From the Team at Bicycle NSW
