Bantry Bay Clean Up
Will the council clean up the trails in Bantry Bay at some stage or should we just go ahead and do it ourselves? I'm only talking about the official ones as the others will be looked after for sure.

I'm sure they will at some point, but I dare say they have other priorities, so I suggest we just get out there and (responsibly) do it. It would be a good way to show our appreciation of the new trails.
I'm guessing (and I'm sure Simon will be able to confirm this) that given the trails are on NPWS land, unauthorised trail cleaning, even if in the best interest of the trail, won't be allowed.
Usually it needs to be a sanctioned trail day with a NPWS officer on site.
I'm guess this is referring to trees down after the storm?
For real? As yes I was referring to cleaning up the debris, not to doing any major trail work.
I'm sure it's OK to clean up. A few months ago I had a question regarding Serrata and the need to block off of an unoffical B-Line. It was OK to do so.
Just walked along the single part of the Serrata Track this morning and its clear of trees and storm damage. Watch out for a very large tree down on the Currie Road fire trial near the gate. Serrata is in good condition and I would say mildly moist with a few small puddles. Credit to the trial builders.
Juat walked Gahnia Single Track and it is clear of trees and storm damage. Mostly mildly moist except for the creeks which are still very wet. There are trees down and it's very muddy on the fire trial next to Wakehurst parkway.
Thanks for the updates 'azsthj'
