Rockshox reverb warranty?
NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Hi all, just wondering if anyone out there has had any experiences getting a Rockshox Reverb repaired under warranty? I've had mine for less then 12mths and it has developed a 10mm drop/play in the post when under weight and also wont hold the 250psi. I purchased it from Merlin cycles and am hoping I don't have to send it back to the UK. Thanks.

Hi
May have an issue with getting them done here but I did get my Pikes sent through on a warranty thing through another bike shop but did purchase them here.
Would recommend emailing Merlin first and might find a very lucky LBS as this is like Kryptonite to a LBS. Past experience has had staff boo and hiss me put of a LBS before for doing with a small thing from a purchase overseas.
Good Luck
it prob needs a service
it is basically suspension
ride it for a year, from new probly needs a strip and rebuild
I had the exact same problem. Had about 3 weeks left on the warranty, took it back to the shop where I bought it, they sent it to SRAM who replaced it with a brand new one.
Hi Slydog, Yeah I just got an email back from Merlin in the UK where I purchased it from and they will replace it under warranty but I have to pay for freight which is pretty expensive ($46)
Might have to contact SRAM and see what they say.
Has your new Reverb been ok?
Do you have to send the old one back?? $46 is that bad for a brand new post!
Unfortunately its a game you have to play when you purchase parts overseas.
Sram have a very good warranty arm that turns claims around really fast in Australia (DSD I think it is called) but I don't think they will help with overseas purchases.
Cant hurt to ask though.
I've had two seat posts purchased overseas replaced under warranty in Aus. Take it to your LBS and see what they can do for you.
