Hi All,

Is it possible to ride from Wild Flower Garden or Acron Oval to OMV through the bush?

I don;t mind a small amount of road riding but would prefer as much as possible on trails. I noticed @hawkeye did a climb fest on the weekend that looked promising... Is there a way to get from Wild Flower to the Darri Track?

Yes

sikllama has done it from Turramurra to Wildflower a few times. Connecting from there to OMV should be possible with only a few short road legs.

Just beware some of those fire road climbs hit 30% gradients. It's never a good sign when they have to resort to concreting sections of the fire trail so the tankers can get out!

That will get the climbing monkey off your back Daniel

As Hawkeye said, I've done it a few times - the route I take from (or to) Wildflower gardens to Wahroonga is here --> https://www.strava.com/activities/415054746

After that you're looking at an easy 10 min road ride to OMV using Grovsenor St and Edgeworth David Ave

Some good steep stuff in here Daniel but you did QRT with me + Adam last month so you'll handle it fine.

from the Darri Track go up Glengary Track just after you cross the creek, just west of Tokanua Place on that profile. It will bring you up Glengary Ave track to Glengarry Ave, if you can't climb Glengary Ave then turn left onto Kedumba Crescent and then right onto Milton Rd up to Bobbin Head Rd. From there just go back into the sniggle below the oval. This will take some distance off the trip but you are only losing road k's anyway.

If you want the distance then turn right on Bobbin Head Rd, veer left at the roundabout onto Murrua Rd and add in the fire trails out there. On the way back go behind the nursing home and sniff your way around behind the houses to the top of Gwyder Ave fire trail. Once on that you will need to drop and then climb back up to Samuel King Oval to do the sniggle.

There is other stuff but I would have to kill you if I told you. GE is your friend
