Kiwarrak is the most rewarding option. The rest of the terrain close by there is sandy and challenging.
When my late cousin was still alive we used to ride the old logging trails back of Old Bar that date back over a century. He used to take me on a lot of their secret singletrack that they used to keep hidden from the predations of the motos.
I haven't been back since his passing. Last I heard the Taree mob had adopted some of his crew's trails so they may still be there and not overgrown.
Riding The Animal Track inches from falling into the Manning River was always a highlight. Good memories.
I rode it for the first time earlier this year after heading to forster for a number of years. Plenty of singletrack, kiwarrak and stromlo are the only places I have ridden for 30min + trying to get back to my car but somehow not feeling lost. Think it was a 20-25min drive from forster.
There are some trails near Old Bar apparently. Was told about them when I was at the Giant demo day at Taree a couple weeks ago. If you ask at the bike shop up there or post on the Tip Riders Club page I'm sure someone would help you.
