Golden Jubilee Field, North Wahroonga. If you head down Westbrook Avenue, turn left at Esk St and turn right into the carpark. The entrance to the track is at the far northern end of the carpark.

MOUNTAIN BIKE FUNDAMENTALS Skills Clinic presented by Sydney Bike Skills

4 hours of tuition with professional coaches who have all completed the level 1 or 2 MTBA Mountain Bike Skills Coaching Course. Only $140

Sample Skills Covered in FUNDAMENTALS Mountain Bike Skills Clinic
• Helmet check and fit

• Bike safety inspection

• Correct riding position-attack position

• Ratcheting

• Controlled braking including emergency braking

• Riding over small obstacles

• Slow riding and balance

• Cornering and flat turns

• Getting over small obstacles like rocks and branches.

• Roll overs and wheelie lifts.

• Correct gear selection

• Ascending and descending hills

• Roll downs

• Trail ride to put new skills into practice

• Tips on cleaning and maintaining your bike

Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

All participants require a fully functioning mountain bike with knobby tyres (not slicks) and Australian Standards approved helmet. Front suspension on the bike is recommended.Gloves and sunglasses are also recommended.

The skills clinic will go from 9am-1pm. Please arrive at 8.45am.

Please ensure that you bring water, your lunch and sunscreen.

The clinic is being limited to a maximum of 10 participants so be quick to sign up.

In the event of inclement weather, the alternate date for the skills clinic is Sunday April 10. Please note that if you cannot attend the alternate date you will not be able to make up the course at another time.

ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A WAIVER
