Is Kev C now 2 way?
Hi all,
Sorry if this is old news - been off for a bit.
Riding Kev Costner yesterday and today in the up/North direction I nearly ran into some riders coming the other way. Both times we had a civil chat and I advised it was a one way trail and they said it is now 2 way.
At the top of the trail where there used to be a "wrong Way" sign it has been covered with a sign saying "two way - down riders to give way".
Is this real or has someone just made their own call?
I know there are those mid week or those who can't be told what to do. I'm interested in the newbies/kids and week end masses (who potentially aren't competent to give way).
I always thought one way made sense because:
1) the trail fairies built and maintain it this way (respect for them)
2) safety - it's damn tight
3) practical - there's a down hill section the other side of the parkway and you just cross at the bus stop (without riding the trail too far)
Happy to be told it's 2 way just want to clarify.
Thoughts?
Cheers,

The trail on the other side of the Parkway to the bus stop was closed by Warringah Council rangers.
There was a Warringah Council sign up saying "Endangered Ecological Community", which is bullshit as it is RMS road reserve and the trail was no more than 10m in from the edge of the road, usually much less. I forget the technical term for degraded bush bordering roads and housing asset protection zones, but EEC that strip definitely isn't.
I suspect that closure might have triggered a change of heart on trail direction for Kevin Costner.
Although I note that someone has ripped the sign down and re-opened the trail to the bus stop.
The trail that some collection of dickheads cut into the Dam reserve off the end of that trail is a different matter though. Whoever did that needs to be shot.
Besides being appallingly badly built, in contrast to the section above it does go straight through documented EEC. Couldn't possibly have been more unhelpful.
So you want to shoot people for putting in a dodgy trail? Bit extreme don't you think?
Yep agree Hawkeye (assuming the "shot" bit being a rant statement and not serious Dude). Now it looks like common sense has prevailed and the trail to the bus stop (no further) is open so we're all good.
So - Kev C 1 or 2 way folks?
Oh, alright then. How about hung, drawn and quartered?
No? Crucifixion? Hmm, you're right, not nearly enough suffering.
Ah, got it! I'll tell them all my Dad jokes.
You are a cruel bastard, Dad jokes, that's really bad.
I might have read them my poetry. See, I'm not *completely* heartless.
@C3PO I'm not really sure whether the new two-way sign is "authorised" or not. It fits better with the "strategic plan" for it to be a descending trail, but works better uphill with the present state of trail connections.
*shrugs shoulders* maybe mr trail fairy has changed his mind.
It could be an Easter miracle...
Is the bit you are talking about the new section with the log balance?
Don't think so Hasbeen - I'm thinking you mean the new little section at the end of Possums that goes across a little creek?
Even though there is confusion about KC I just assumed Possums is defn 1 way - esp with the jump and tree rollover there could be carnage if that was 2 way?
Cheers
Is still one way as far as I'm aware.
That gap jump is fun. Gotta gas it to make the lander.
KC has been 2 way for a month or so.
I still don't understand ppl doing possum the wrong way. Had a few near misses on blind corners there
