Canyon Strive
Has anyone test ridden the Canyon Strive? I spent a couple of hours on one today at Stromlo and I'd be interested to hear what others think about it.

I've had mine for 4 months now and love it. Only bike I'd prefer more would be the new Zerode Tanifwha or whatever its called.
I got the AL6.0 medium race, which was a perfect fit (I ride a large Devinci Wilson).
For 4500 delivered it's hard to beat with the spec.
The shapeshifter is very noticeable in how the bike's geometry is steepened and bottom bracket raised when in the XC mode. It becomes easier to climb and more playful and 'poppy. Because the shock is loaded differently, it does mean that the shock rebounds faster so you have to keep your settings in mind (unless you get a cc dbair with climb switch). In DH mode it descends like any new 160mm bike does these days - like DH bikes of a few years ago. I am actually faster on the upper half of Mt Kiera DH track on the Strive than my Wilson.
It's also great to be able to fit a full size water bottle so no more hydation pack!
Have you ever ridden a Giant Reign or Polygon N8? I'm really keen to hear a comparison and thoughts on which one for a 110kg (plus gear) rider.
No, but I've just bought myself a Stumpjumper
Double up
I get it for DH and 4X, but for anything where endurance effort is needed, sticking the shock in the way or dropping the top-tube so stupidly low that you can't squeeze a bottle in where you can easily reach it strikes me as just dumb. Good to see Canyon hasn't followed the sheep trail.
Yet, for some reason, some other manufacturers still do it. I don't get it.
Maybe I'm weird?
Don't answer that.
Personal preference is a funny thing. I never use a water bottle when I mountain bike, then on the other hand I can't stand using a hydration pack when I ride my road bike.
So I guess I'm weird too, actually there's no guessing about that at all.
Been riding my CF 9.0 since mid-April and it's freakin' awesome.
In DH mode it handles more rough stuff that I can throw at it and in XC mode it climbs better then my previous 130mm Heckler.
