Ride Database Entry:
Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail
Details:

Hello to anyone that is watching.

I wanted to do a fairly fast but social ride through Terrey Hills this Saturday. Starting at Duckholes and Centre, then work back out towards Perimeter and Long trail, and back to the shops. The choice of track will give somone the ability to bail half way through the ride if need be.

Depending on who is coming along, this should take about 3 hours (or maybe 4 if we don't push a particularly fast pace). Total distance travelled will be about 30km.

The ride has been limited to 10 people, as a 20+ mob invariably moves too slowly. The ride would be best suited to at least intermediate skilled riders.

Call me on 0438 885 410 if you are running late. I will be parked near the fire service parking lot in a blue Mazda2.

Hopefully see you there! Smiling

as the Dam is closed I'll be up for this one. I recently did Perimeter and Long in about 1:45 so hope this is quick enough?

Cheers.

Yeah I'm keen mate, as long as its not too racy.. I have Wiseman's on the Sunday...

Will perimeter still be a bit wet? Duck/Centre and Long should be fine...

No worries there Andy. You should be fine mate. Good to see you along again. Smiling

I am not fussed about the Perimeter trail being wet. Only the mud would concern me. We can always divert around the first 2km of Perimeter to the Japanese school if the trail turns out to be a mud hole. Play it by ear.

Im still getting over a cold but should be there...need to get back out on the bike. I dunno whether I am quite intermediate level as I have only done the track once, but should be able to keep pace with you all

It was pretty gross last night... but nothing too bad....

Forced me to clean my bike at least..... but the drivetrain is complaining...

If you want a decent ride, you should come to wiseman's ferry!

but if you want a "descent" ride... maybe the oaks if for you? Sticking out tongue

I couldn't make Liam's ride but rode Duckholes and Centre at about 2.30 - less water than I was expecting, worth a ride

Duckholes and Centre were mainly dry but there are some puddles about here or there. Seeing it had rained a few times over the last week, this was to be expected.

Perimeter and Long Trail was mainly dry, but there are some large puddles and particularly mud puddles along both trails. If you had the choice, definitely do Duckholes, Waratah or Centre as a preference. Much drier. Smiling
