Hi there

I'm looking to do a largish ride over the weekend of 5th-6th July. Was thinking of Andos+Oaks or perhaps Wisemans ferry. There is supposed to be some single track along here as well I think so I'm keen to hear about that too.

Anyone keen?

I could do 6th of July Smiling

Carlgroover is the man to talk to about trails around the ando/oaks area Laughing out loud

Wiseman's is fun, but there isn't really any singletrack...... is there?

Hey Loz

not to bothered about the lack of single track, more keen on getting a large number of kays in, with some decent hills. That said I love single, and if there was some that was over 50kays within a short drive that would be the ride of choice for sure...

About half the stuff (??) above the creek in Andos could loosely be described as double track or wide single track. It's certainly a blast and of course you've got the Oaks sniggle to finish on.

You've done Andos before, right? Puzzled If not and you do go, just be sure to turn left at the correct spot!

I over heard someone talking about the single track between the two tracks, but I can't remember what it is called. I love the single at the end the oaks, but I am usually a bit tired to give it the good seeing to it deserves Smiling

You have to travel back up the hill by road to Hazelbrook for some good single track which I do regulary, I've also posted rides on them a couple of times and may have to do another soon but there's too many races to do.
Cheers John.

Cheers John, are they easy to find? Do you have them posted anywhere? I did a quick search but couldn't find the specifics.

Dylan there are a few tracks near Terrace Falls.

What would the pace of the ride on the 6th be?

Hi Mate

We are going to try to go as hard as we can, certainly aiming to stop as little as possible. I've been a bit slack with the training recently so need to catch up Smiling

Thanks for the trails tip.

I wasn't sure if I could ride this Sunday but I can, if you would like to do Andos then Hazo I'll be in that and play tour barbie. You'd have to be keen to also do The Oaks in the same day I think the 2 rides would be enough.
Cheers John.

Cool!

We are up for a big one. I am doing my best to fight off the beginnings of a cold, and only have half a front brake but I'll be there. I'll let you know when we aim to get there, have to work it around the train times.

John is the best guide! Laughing out loud

Am tempted by this one... what time do you think it would finish up around?

Would be good at Hazelbrook train station. Loz, with the Hazo ride it's easy to bail early if you need to be somewhere else.

If it is a fast ride I will struggle to keep up. However, I may join you for the Hazelbrook bit. After Andersons you will, no doubt, be riding slower. I might do a leisurely ride up narrowneck instead in the early morning. I sohuld be able to get some nice photos there. The cliffs at sunrise look spectacular :

So, I assume the plan is:- Park at Hazelbrook train station, train up to Wentworth Falls, ride down Andos to these tracks and then simmer till done. Sounds pretty sweet to me.

I was hoping to get going by around 9:30.. does that suit others?

arpit, that's one nice photo Smiling

lozza6's picture

that sounds great!

so giving the oaks a miss then?

start at glenbrook, train up to wentworth.. ride ando, then hazel then down oaks?

I dont have a dealie till 8pm in the city...

Gonna watch the chaser live show at souths juniors Smiling

Hi Loz

I only suggested not doing Oaks as John said it might be too much. Without knowing what the trails are I can't say. Sure would like to do the Oaks as well if it's at all possible though, that last single track is splendid!

lozza6's picture

yeah I'll have to leave it on my back this time.. geez what a pain that was!

So is this on Dylan? Post a ride up on the calendar!

We could spend 3-4 hours without any trouble at Hazo/Lawson if that's not enough I could find more.
John.
