I've a friend with a Scott hardtail frame, and he wants to move to dual suspension.
He's got all the running gear incl a new 4" Marzocchi fork, decent wheels, XT drivetrain, disk brakes etc.
Budget: $750ish
Ideal frames: Stumpjumper, or other horst link frame, Giant Trance, etc. Could go a bit higher for the 'right' frame.
Prefer something with a reasonable pedaling platform.

So, if have something, or you are considering trading 'up' to something newer and looking to move your frame on in the near future let me know.

Hi whisperer

I have something that probably isn't what he is looking for, but I thought I would let you know anyway. I have just stripped down my old Trek Fuel. It has 3.5inches on the back and a 130mm bomber on the front at the moment. It's a XC frame really (as I'm sure you know) and it's well used but straight and still rides very well. I won't kid you, it has been well used but it is straight and fast. I have recently serviced and replaced all of the swing arm bushes etc. It's light too. It does pedal very well, they are known for it actually.

Won't be looking for anything like that much money obviously.

If he can stretch the budget a bit I have an almost new (<500km riding) Salsa El Santo frame. It's 18" (geometry here http://www.salsacycles.com/elsanto08.html). I built it up for a serious attempt at a solo 24hr only to find it had too many gears and too much suspension for me.

Not sure what sort of riding he's after the frame for. I have a Da Bomb Cherry Bomb for sale ( here : http://nobmob.com/node/3862 ).

Awesome little do everything frame and I'm open to offers if he wants to snap up a bargain.

If he's after a bike for xc/ endurance racing probably not the best, but if he wants a good trail all around type bike then well worth a look.
