Duration:
4 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
I'll be there, no matter what the weather.
Ride Database Entry:
Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail
Details:

How about a nice tour of Terrey Hills this Saturday? Looking to break in a new steed, so am wanting to keep things straightforward... for now. Laughing out loud

I planned on doing the whole Duck Holes / Centre Track thing. Although a more exciting alternative can be ridden if the group can come up with one.

I have put down 12 riders as a maximum, so if you want to come along, you may need to put your name down early. I will be wanting to keep up a decent speed, so I don't think the speed will be suitable for new riders.

Hopefully I will see you there.

Who's in?
Rob, pikey, craigs, Heckler, christine, tienster, Little-Ditty, Harry, Andy Bloot, garyinoz, Brian, Graham (12 riders)
Rob pikey craigs Heckler christine tienster Little-Ditty Harry Andy Bloot garyinoz Brian Graham
What Happened?

Were you there and have a story to tell?

I have to put my fork in for service...

not even sure I should be riding it tonight... but oh well.

Is the new steed a road bike? Sticking out tongue

Congrats on the purchase mate!! Shame I won't be able to see you go like lightning on a light bike! Smiling

Hmmmm now I can't decide whether to come check out this new bike or do Morgan's ride!

where are your priorities?
If i can breathe i wil register - shall see how I go at touch... want to see the bike - will you be having coffee afterwards? Maybe i could bring the dogs up for a coffee??? Smiling (no, not a latte!)

Still getting over my chest thing so I will come but will only ride for a couple of hours. If the pace is too much for me I'll drop back and do my own thing but I should be ok.

as I've not done this circuit before, what sort of distance are you expecting to do, I saw up to 30km on the trails section. Is it mainly fire trails and any killer hills? All these questions I should just sign up and do it!

Little-Ditty's picture

...20km in total. If we do the standard Duckholes, Centre Tack stuff this will be more like 2 hours but we can start adding some other bits on if we feel like it at the time. That may make it more like 30km.

The trails are not overly technical. They are mainly fire trails and even the hills are not that big and steep. The hills will be a snap now!! Sticking out tongue

You convinced me, could do with a change from the dam anyway, see you guys on Saturday, looks like a sunny day!

I'm also impatient and shouldn't be so quick to click the button twice!!

So what is this mysterious new weight weenie bike you got yourself Liam?

Does it have lycra to go with it? Sticking out tongue
Liam and knicks

I've never been to this meeting point so is it going to be pretty obvious once I get to Yulong Ave? and what about parking?
Cheers

Brian's picture

Hi Gary, as soon as you turn into Yulong Ave off Booralie there is a car park on your left. You can't miss it.

garyinoz's picture

Cheers Brian, see you there!

So i'm out.

Have fun guys!

Um, no Buck, but a lighter bike, yes indeed. You will have to come along and see it. Of course, this new machine does not replace my old faithful. She is being upgraded right about now, and will look like a new woman very shortly. Smiling
