A Brief Morning At Wiseman's Ferry
As I suggested we shall meet, ride the fun section to the junction with Western Commission Track, stop, stand about and bullshit, perhaps consume some muesli bars and/or pieces of fruit and then it's back the way we came.
The pace will be moderate. I'm bringing my Glory because I like riding it. For a downhill sled it pedals along nicely.
Ebony the all mountain dog will stay at home as the trail is in a national park.
There is no limit to this ride. Newbies welcome. The rocks can be sharp here so watch out and bring inner tubes. Be careful of the bull ants they are known to carry people away.
Post ride we should all go to the pub.
Christine you are expected to attend because you are allowed out of the Northern Beaches.
Were you there and have a story to tell?

THis sounds awesome! I was just looking at the pics from one of the other GNR rides... I'll put a big grippy tyre on the rear for the climbs. It's annoying when you yell and put the power down but your wheel just slips (I have been led to believe that the yelling may just be me, though)
I will be coming from the Central Coast, so it will be quicker for me to come along wisemans ferry road and get the ferry across. I have looked on the RTA web site but can't seem to find ferry times. Does anyone happen to know the ferry times or where I can find the information?
Also maybe someone could leave me there mobile number so I could let you know if i am held up by the ferry.
Cheers
The ferry swings back and forth continually. There are in fact two ferries side by side however both will only run during a busy period.
The trip across takes ten minutes or so. If you miss it don't worry, we'll wait. The most you'll hold us up will be half an hour. So aim for 09.30 on your side and I reckon all will be well.
I'll aim for 09.30 at the meeting point. Click on my name to find my number. Upon arrival look for a blue 15 year old commodore wagon. That'll be me inside reading the paper...provided my bike is leaning against said car otherwise you'll have the wrong bloke.
Thanks, will see you there!
Do any of you want to share a ride up there?
Driving by myself is boring.
I can take one other person from St Ives. If you've got spare spots in your car and want to drive, a lift would be great too.
I thought I wasn't going to make it tomorrow, but Dylan from SIC bikes stayed back for an hour after the shop closed, making sure that my birke would be good to go tomorrow. HE even kept working on it when his wife arrived.
Dylan is a champ.
