Very interested in doing this. Checking on the funds situation... and what we may need to bring.
Just yourself, your bike, some lunch, snacks & water, knee/shin/elbow pads if you like & your enthusiasm! We can hire you a full-faced helmet if you don't have one. Bike doesn't have to be DH/Freeride, but if you have a XC bike that is quite upright in the geometry and/or short in the wheelbase, it will make some things a little more difficult. Hope that helps!! Cheers, Kim

Conflicting date with the WWS 8 hour at Stromlo
This time I won't forget about it. I'm going to pay the week prior. I have the cash, the bike, the gear and I could use the tuition.
Signed up, money transferred, I'm in like Flynn!
I've paid and I clicked the star. See you there, Liam.
Likewise, can't wait Pete. See you there.
So guys, how was it?
It was tops. A big thanks to AMBC for this course and also to our instructor Andy who was able to present the curriculum in an easy to digest manner, with plenty of time to repeat and practice. All students were great blokes and even though I had two flats and two stacks I had a day to be described as tip top.
I recommend this sort of thing highly. Any tuition, regardless of the discipline, is a good thing.
What can I say except it was sh1t hot fun. Loved it all. From tooling around doing little drops and jumps, to practicing rock garden techniques, railing berms, to riding really slowly down a rocky hill, to dropping off larger jumps and drops. It was all good, it was easy to complete the clinic based on your own level of skill, and the instructor was always willing to answer any questions no matter how insightfull, inane or silly. We were all there to learn after all. Plus I think it was very useful to participate in this riding clinic whilst under some supervision. It helps to know a keen and experienced set of eyes are looking at you.
Hopefully AMBC read this. They were really nice about how they went about running the clinic, and Andy was a good instructor and a great bloke to boot! No real complaints from me about the day. I had one embarrassing little OTB stack trying to leave the trail onto a road, but otherwise, no stacks from me that day.
To all that didn't go, you are missing out. There was PLENTY to do at this clinic that did not involve jumping or dropping off 10 footers. Any XC rider with a technical slant would have gotten something out of it. I can highly recommend this to anyone. It went until 3:30 in the afternoon so we were there far longer than was originally anticipated.
I would be interested in doing more of this type of riding instruction in the future, so hopefully something eventuates on that front. Plus I would probably now do the XC clinic too. We'll see.
Hey guys
Thanks heaps for the feedback on this course. It's great to here that everyone got so much out of it .. it makes the effort all the more worthwhile! And we gave Andy a huge pat on the back as well ... and he smiled!
We're looking at running a step up from this clinic but need to work out where! Anyone with some ideas on this?
Spread the word around about us!

Why not do it at Oxford Falls again? There is more than enough trails there that fit into the intermediate or 'step up' clinic. What do you think? I would be interested in doing one in Nov or Dec.
