Errr...'scuse my ignorance but being a newbie, what is a Sniggle. Is it an endangered species?

It is indeed an endangered species. Once prevalent in national parks, it has become rare indeed. National parks staff strive to protect it, and as such, mountainbikers who approach it are liable to be fined. It really is a magnificent animal, however it does not tend to breed well, often requiring human intervention for successful replication. Surprisingly, in some areas Sniggle can be found quite close to houses in suburbia. Due to the threat to the species, these locations are kept secreat by local residents.
We all wish for the day where sniggle fills the national parks, and we are allowed to enjoy its true magnificence, without fear of fines. Sadly, unless funding is given to sniggle preservation projects, our dreams will never be realised.

Well that makes it very clear doesn't it!...not!

Very well written though arpit. 9 out of 10 for effort.

Sniggle is singletrack. It's just track which is too narrow to drive a 4wd down Smiling It's much more fun than fire trail!

Excellent. I'll go sniggling soon for sure. Fire trails are getting slightly boring already.

Where the b****y h**l did sniggle come from? Frodo? Peter Jackson? Good name come to think of it. Is it a MTB term internationally I wonder? Wot wud the Septics make of Sniggle? Is it an Aussie term? Anybody know? I'm intrigued.

Winco.

(Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and lead a trail ( or sniggle))

AFAIK it was origingated on the mtb-oz list, being derived from a common typo of single-track.

is not commonly used in the uk, but a lot of what is used is common.
