Duration:
3 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
If it's raining, I won't be there.
Ride Database Entry:
Red Hill
Meeting Point:

Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.

-33.744534, 151.255780 (Red Hill Carpark)
Details:

I've got a "new" bike that needs its first outing. I'm planning on doing the usual Red Hill circuit and adding in anything else that people may find interesting. As the new bike is a little less pedally and an unknown beast, I'll be taking it fairly easy.

New bike, new bike, new bike!!!!! Woooo Smiling

Not happy, i am unable to make it to this...I have a uni exam on this day Sad

I know what i would rather be doing though.

Get some pictures of your new bike and put them up.

Have a good ride!!

because i LOVE Red Hill and rode up there on Monday night and had a total ball..however, Friday night I have drinks so doubt I will be in any state for up there - i have tried it 'the morning after' before and it just isn't good as the others will agree...I can't imagine Liam won't be in this one - or Cupcake if you can drag him off the scummer... Smiling

If you really want to come, we can always make it later in the day. I prefer to ride later anyway, I only chose 8:30 because early starts seem to be pretty normal round here.

Maybe I should have posted up a pre-ride thing to guage interest first. Whatever. Someone organise for me to ride at Red Hill on Saturday and tell me when I have to be there - how's that sound?

Cheers,
Scott.

You're a cruel man
I am going to the fling that morning
And Red Hill rides aren't posted often enough
Next time
By the way, what sort of new bike are we talking?

Red Hill is far better.

The new bike - is a Specialized SX Trail. In theory, it should be perfect for what I want to do and where I want to ride. I pretty much handed over the cash without riding it, so I hope it rides as good as it looks.

don't be nasty to him just because you are off having a fling!
Thank you for the later offer but I do have to work this weekend - any other one I would be delighted! not only that, he is clever enough to buy the best brand of bike!!!! woo hooo

Shaun, you are just plain mean! Smiling

Awesome bike mate, especially for Red Hill, you won't be disappointed.

I got one about 6 weeks ago and couldn't happier with it. It even pedals alright around the Dam. Great for Jumps, drops, steeps, corners like it is on rails. Low BB height might cause a few pedal clips now and again but you get used to it.

Go to the jump DH track that runs down to the parkway off the motocross track, it will eat it up.

I would be v tempted for this ride - although a bit late for me - but I am in the Fling as well.

you guys wonder why trails keep getting closed national parks prob watch this place like a hawk, id say kepp it all quite.....shhhhhh for secret trails.....

Rob's picture

Aside from Red Hill isn't anything to do with NPWS. And anyone who thinks there's such as a thing as a secret trail any more is kidding themselves.

goatman's picture

But don't worry Adrian your secrets are safe with me, I will kepp it quite.

I thought that the best way to keep trails a secret was to simply grind the serial numbers off them !
